Who we are
DumDum Press was founded by Abhishek Shaw, an independent journalist based in Dum Dum, Kolkata. What started as one person with a camera and a conviction has grown into a platform committed to honest, fearless, community-driven journalism. Our journalism is ground-up. We go where the story is — into the streets, markets, neighbourhoods and communities of Dum Dum and beyond. We believe the most important stories are not found in press conferences — they are found on the ground.
